What We Do
At Kinship we recruit and train mentors to match with our waiting youth. Kinship provides monthly experiences and activities to matched and waiting youth, and their mentors to participate in, helping them strengthen their relationships. For our older youth, we facilitate a Kinship4Teens group providing Independent Living Skills. Kinship's newest venture is our Lunch Buddies school-based program.
Our Impact
Through the power of mentoring, we've provided support, encouragement, opportunities and joy to over 400 young people in the Richland & Wilkin community. Mentoring is proven to be the best dollar for dollar prevention.

At Kinship, we support parents in creating a healthy and positive connection that will build self-esteem and nurture a positive self-image for youth involved. If your child is lacking a natural support network and you want to be intentional about placing support and a mentor in your child’s life, consider Richland-Wilkin Kinship youth mentoring.

Become a Lunch Buddy
At Lunch Buddies, our goal is to improve social skills and self-esteem in order to foster a better attitude for learning: ultimately improving school success. If you can join us for lunch twice a month, listen, laugh, & play a board game, YOU can be a Lunch Buddy!
